Adieu 2017

I have analysed and learned out a lot this year...
1) I learned that things don't always flip your way exactly the way you planned them or have expected them to go.
2) I learned that there are things that never gets back together the way they were before and are never going to get fixed.
3) I learned that there is finally a time when your patience and hard work gets paid off and you find new doors and windows opened for you.
4) I have learned that it is no difficult to cut off from family and friends if they are causing you stress, discouragement and unhappiness.
5) I learned that there is no harm in saying No to something your heart doesn't allow.

So, i am very much thankful to you 2017 as you were the most changing year for me and looking forward to you 2018

Happy Diwali

Diwali is here guys the most happiest and sparkling festival of the year. Sweets , family bonding, crackers and lights but hold on! did I aroused a controversy by saying the word "crackers"!? Yah, maybe  for some reading this..because crackers cause pollution RIGHT? and so DIWALI does. But tell me one thing why is conserving environment only a concern on Diwali? Air pollution and noise pollution only the topic for Diwali and sweeping streets and picking litters only a Gandhi Jayanti theme?
Facebook posts, twitter trolls and whatsapp texts will now be trending to take pledge for not burning crackers and using only earthen diyas for lighting up homes. But tell me do we really concern about climate and polluted weather? Does the SC order of banning crackers in Delhi will make Delhi less polluted? And that to in just a day actually not even day approximately in 5-6 hrs.
I don't say that burning crackers doesn't pollute our environment no doubt it do does it is polluting! but how long does the pollution last? Are we even concerned about the pollution after and before Diwali? because Diwali only is a minor add on to the pollution.  What about during the normal days.Pollution is now global and is present all the year round. How far is it logical to just select Diwali and tell people, including the children, whom it saddens and hurts the most by not lighting up crackers,  that since Diwali is environmentally degrading, we should not celebrate it with lights and crackers? Or rather not celebrate it at all because Diwali is and has always been about lights and crackers.
We have always celebrated every victory whether it is Lord Rama winning over Ravana good v/s evil, India winning a match ,your favorite political leader winning the elections or your marriage procession. That is how we have always celebrated the  triumphs and best happiest moments of our lives. So, why to take away from people the right of celebrating  Diwali festival their way like they have been celebrating it since last 100 years with sounds of pleasing and crackling fireworks.
If we are genuinely concern about our climatic condition we should try checking and reducing it on a daily basis, the most common source of pollution is exhaust fumes from vehicles, construction industries, lack of waste management and much more.

Why to blame and target only Diwali for the pollution that too which comes only once at the year end.

Festive Beauty Essentials

It’s festive season so while spending time over getting your houses clean, buying new clothes and decorating homes don’t forget to spend a little time in grooming your own self for that festive glow which is equally essential.
Here, are some home made beauty regimes I recommend for a sparkling glowing skin to match up the celebrations coming ahead.

  1. Dip a cotton ball in raw milk and honey and just dab your face with it. Let the mixture dry on your skin and then wash it off with plain water. Repeat it every night before going to sleep.
  2. Pour boiling water in a large vessel and add a few drops of an essential oil of your choice Lavender oil being the best.Cover your head with a thick towel and let the steam wash over your face for clean and beautiful skin.
  3. Mix 1 tsp of finely grounded oats and few drops of milk to form a paste apply it to your skin. Leave for 10 minutes and then remove this mask by scrubbing off. You can use this mask on face , neck and even as a body scrub.
  4.  Take 1 ripe banana and mash it adding some honey . apply to your face and neck. wait and wash after 15 minutes. This pack gives an instant glow to your skin.
  5. Always carry a wet tissue available in market to wipe off dirt when going out and it always helps in keeping your skin hydrated.
  6. If you are going out during the day in sun make sure you rub a tomato all over your face after coming back. This helps in detanning your skin
  7. Rub ice cubes on the face before applying makeup. This slows down sweating and keeps the makeup for longer.
  8. And lastly which is the most essential one in any forms of beauty regime. Drink plenty of water which helps in inner glow of our skin keeping it healthy and fresh.

HaPpY TeAcHeRs DaY

Teachers are the most brightest guiding star of our lives. They nurture us making us the fittest ones for survival. They are the first ones to recognize our talent and guide us in following  the path of our dreams. I know we don't meet frequently, but you are always in my memory for making me what i am today.
The first thing that comes to one's mind after hearing the word "TEACHER" is scoldings, even i have hated you for it at that time but now i realized that why you scolded me for not doing my calculations correctly! because you knew one day i have to calculate and manage finances and budgets alone for my family, why you scolded me when i didn't do my science experiments properly! because you wanted to teach me that the best results is only obtained by following the right procedures and maintaining a decorum in life, why you scolded me when i didn't took part in activities! because you knew one day i will have to build my own social life, why you scolded me for not doing my physics topics correctly because you knew one day life will only be about logics, whys and hows, why you scolded me when i didn't read properly because you knew one day i had to write my own.
The toughest part is that i had never ever got chance to Thank you all for molding me in the bestest form possible. So, i thought this is the best way to thank you all and express my feelings by what you all had taught me since childhood and that is "WORDS".

                                                          DIY Teachers Day Card

First collect the things you will need:
Fevicol or glue, scissors, chart paper (color any ), crayons, sketch pens and craft papers of different colors.

Fold the chart paper into a square card shape and cut it with one side closed.

Now draw borders with leaving equal space at all the four sides. Note: please make lines or draw everything with pencil first.

Here, i have made a theme based card. Drawn a man watering his garden seeds and then the seeds grow into beautiful flowers. Depicting man as our teachers who nourishes with knowledge and transform us and our lives.

Now take the colored craft papers and cut them into shapes according to your drawing and paste them to give a beautiful patch effect than just coloring it.

Body: A temple to be worshipped daily

Fitness is the most overrated word, people assume being fit is to be skinny but it's not, rather it means having a toned body with enough strength, which certainly doesn't come from dieting. Dieting is another misinterpreted word, people think to diet means to starve; specially crash dieting in which people start cutting down their daily calorie intake by huge number to loose weight rapidly. But, dieting often leads to deprivation of vitamins, proteins and essential nutrients from body. Hence, leading to future weight gain, dehydration and risk of cardiac arrest.
One can only be fit and healthy by following a correct and well manged exercise and diet plans. Please stop being foolish by following diet plans for weight loss written in health articles, searching on YouTube etc, remember everyone has their own body types and body's daily nutritional requirements. Following any diet plan blindly can lead to severe health problems like thyroid, abdominal infections and even dementia.

It is always wise to start your own fitness regime so that you follow it easily and moreover happily. Here are some tips to follow to have a healthy body :
  • First make a proper diet plan these days what to eat is more important than what time and how many times we eat.Have an early morning breakfast. Divide your meals to five shorter meals: Morning breakfast, Mid meal, Lunch, Evening snacks and dinner. Cut your carbs intake after lunch. DON'T STARVE YOURSELF.
  • Build a habit of doing exercise or preferably yoga every morning. Yoga helps you keep energized whole day. Kapalbhati, Alom-Vilom, Surya Namaskar, are the most simpler ones which can be done easily. If you get bored you can always rotate your exercises. Even walking, taking stairs to reach your floor instead of lifts, bicycle riding etc are the simplest forms to increase your metabolic rate.
  • Keep a track of your weight every week. Keep track of your body's measurement like your waist and hip size too, this will help in encouraging you to see yourself getting trimmed and fit.
  • Drink lots of water, this is very important because dehydration slows weight loss and increases tearing of muscles while exercising.
Make a daily fitness regime and follow it, Listen to your body. Remember a happy body is the most lively and soulful one like a temple you worship daily.

True Blue

Being true-blue in this grey world is difficult because we live in a world where selfishness rules over. Today people lack honesty and loyalty in their relationship, i am not being pessimist but this is reality, the main objective of relationship these days is only personal gain. The morality of people is almost dead, even in their thoughts they keep thinking about fulfilling their own selfish desires. But i believe being a good human being is one's ability to stay loyal and honest even when people around you are not. This is what even our granth Ramayana,Mahabharata and Gita teaches:
                        " || Ahimsa Satyamakrodhastyaga Shantirapaishunam
                             Dayaa Bhuteshvalolatvam mardavam hreerachapalam ||"
That is what you are born for sticking yourself to be good and doing good deeds without hurting anyone, leaving bad thoughts and bad practices to achieve self- realization.
  • Be supportive and help people specially your friends without any mean interest and using them for something bad later. Try to be generous always.
  • Talking behind people's back is the worst thing to do, it is same like backstabbing someone. If any relation of yours whether with family or friends is going through a rough phase you should try and communicate with the person directly and share your feelings.Your honesty to sort things calmly can even change their minds.
  • Give honest opinion to people when they have doubt or they are not able to choose the right ones.Don't cheat them, if you too don't have an idea about it tell them directly that you can't help instead of fooling them for mockery.
  • The most common problem we go through is sometimes balancing our loyalties. Like being loyal to one friend of yours is making you disloyal towards other. In fact this happens between two family members too, whom to support and whom to support not, but in that case the best thing you can do is be honest and unbiased in your decisions of sticking with one.Judge both of them equally, don't pick any one side just for flattery. Listen the matter of both ends and then decide whom you think you should support.
  • The most strongest trait of your character for being in a love relationship is your loyalty towards them. You should just stick through thick and thin with your partner even in bad times. Sharing everything with them honestly will help you build a stronger and longer relationship.
  • Never set any rules for people around you to live up to your expectations. This will make you frustrated and that's where all negative thoughts will come into your mind, hence making you a pessimist personality. Never keep expectations from people.
  • Don't hold grudges with people and play games of tit for tat. Remember you are no one to punish them for their deeds. In fact you are only going to ruin your personality by doing that. Learn to forget and forgive.
Loyalty is not restricted only to your relationships with people around you but it also includes being honest about your thoughts and feelings. Even when you make decisions and compromise with your life you have to be loyal in doing it in every possible way. There are plenty of things in life that we can't control, specially other people's mind and thoughts. If someone is so, it is because he/she chose to be like that. You should not start behaving like them. Be loyal and genuine for purity of your own soul and mind, that's the only reason enough for being true-blue irrespective of all that i wrote above.

"HaPpY Friendship DaY"

We make lots of friends in our life some in school, college, locality where we live, some while travelling, some on social networking sites, and much more..we tend to fall in love with them and then they become our second family. In fact, sometimes they understand you more than your family. Friendship is the most beautiful form of love: deep and affectionate which always stands the test of time. But friendship doesn't only mean having anyone as your friend to hang out with in fact, it is the most important bond in any relationship whether it is husband-wife, father-son, mother-daughter or between siblings. If you are friends with your family you will always have the liberty to share everything even if u commit mistake they will be the first one you will confess to. Most of the depressed children are so because their parents are not friends with them they don't have friendly ambience at home hence lacking understanding and bond among family members. Such is the importance of friendship in every of our relationships. Even love starts with friendship. There is a popular hindi movie dialogue "Pyaar dosti hai" which is actually true, there can be no love without friendship. Married Couples are also suggested to have a friendly bond with partners which helps a lot in building mutual understanding and compatibility much needed for a healthy and happy married life.

Friendship makes you laugh, love and live.In your hard times just a helping hand and smile from your besties saying "chal yaar cheer up" "arey tension mat le sab thik ho jayega" is enough to uplift your mood.Such is the charm of friendship that you will never ever be depressed in life. It will make you better person and will always encourage you to grow more.
I have always been lucky in friendship, i think i am over blessed when it comes to having the bestest souls around you. THANK YOU my friends, the most precious gems of my life and my truest and closest ones, for wiping my tears, hearing my nonsense and curving my lips each day to smile more and laugh more. I hope the bond of friendship that we share grows stronger and stronger and stronger.

Cheap Thrills

Arranged marriages have continued being the stereotypical preference for many and have not lost their charm till date. But the time between the process of finding a life partner and finally getting hitched is the most baffling situation for a girl. It sounds simple to say a guy you meet 'yes' for marriage but it doesn't, it is certainly not a child's task. You should have all your senses strong while choosing your life partner. A marriage whether love/ arranged has to have your consent for it, if your marriage is being fixed by your parents it doesn't mean you cannot put your choices and decisions forward. This is the most crucial decision of your life and it is only you who can decide who is best for you.Make your self absolutely clear about what you expect your life partner to be?? and does your would be groom have those qualities you want in your future husband? there is nothing wrong in finding the "man of your dreams".Yes, he do exist, you just have to be extra cautious finding him.
  • First ask yourself very clearly "are you ready for marriage at this phase of life?" or "you want to wait for some more time?" There is no kind of marriageable age. Marriages don't happen by any rule book of age and time,Unless you are mentally prepared for it. Don't force yourself if you don't want to get married at this particular time of your life.Waiting for your career or a perfect mate can be many reasons so,tell your parents and discuss it before they start searching groom for you.
  • Marriage word sounds scary and specially the one fixed by your parents, getting married to a guy they have chosen makes one nervous, but remember it is still your right to make the final call, that is why you are asked for a meeting with the guy. So, be very frank and don't hesitate. Discuss everything with him in your first meeting: your interests, hobbies, lifestyles, religious beliefs, career goals, life plans, his responsibilities and yours too.
  • Just be your own self when meeting him. Don't try to pretend or be what he likes you to be.If you don't like his ideologies discuss with him.Let him know what you can change and what you cannot in yourself after marriage.Remember you are not meeting him to get selected or rejected? you both are here to know how much compatible you are? and whether you can spend your life with a partner like each other.
  • You should be observant towards his behavior and psychic " how he talks with people specially elders? Does he respect and appreciate what your family is doing? Does he respect women? how he deals his anger, is he quick tempered? does he completely looses his cool, shouts and screams when he is angry? because if he does so it means he is an aggressive person and might end up even hurting you sometime in future. You cannot tolerate living your entire life with a person in fear.
  • Sometimes it do happens that you didn't find the guy you met good for you but everyone else at home liked him.So, they force you explaining that it doesn't matter see "how good the family is","in marriages you have do compromises","you can't be so selective", "people change after marriage","you are just being too judgmental" Blah! Blah!...etc but do remember you can compromise only with certain habits or qualities in a person you are marrying to but you cannot have a totally compromised married life.If you don't like certain qualities in him discuss with him openly and see how he takes your ideas and then only finally decide whether you both can mutually compromise with it or not? whether you can still settle down with him knowing that he won't change? Marriage is not one sided, it requires mutual understandings and decisions. Remember, life gives you one chance to decide for you.And It is only up to you while choosing the one.
Girls! it is always better to have a clear understanding of your life partner. No one can make a better decision for yourself specially when it comes to getting married to a guy and there is no harm in taking time looking up for a man who will love you and keep you happy for lifetime. Remember, a late marriage is always better than a failed one.

Prenatal Care

Prenatal Care is as important step during your pregnancy as it is after your baby is born. Your child birth preparations is the most wonderful experience during your pregnancy period. Many people take pregnancy as stress and kind of some ailment. They assume that in pregnancy you just have to rest for 9 months, staying at home just not doing anything and this is where all complications starts from, but being active will help you to face physical demands of labor, birth and new motherhood. So, just lift up your mood and make your pregnancy a beautiful journey.
PRENATAL DIAGNOSIS
Many people still are unaware of these type of tests specially those living in rural areas. These tests are conducted not only to know your fetus's health and development but also determines birth defects if any. If a couple has a family history of any serious medical condition they should necessarily conduct these tests because if your unborn is detected to have genetic abnormalities you will be psychologically prepared for an affected child or get a chance to abort.

Prenatal diagnosis can be of two types:
(i) Non-Invasive method - in which examination of fetus is done from outside. Like in Ultrasonography that is done at your early pregnancy and trimesters. ultrasonography is done by an apparatus called transducer which sends ultrasonic waves to body while a monitor attached to the machine freezes image on screen of the developing embryo. The major internal organs are screened to determined, if any abnormal. The heart beat is seen by time embryo measures 5 mm, but sometimes may not be visible until the embryo reaches 7 mm around 7 weeks, if the heart beat is normal your child is detected to be normal. But, only subtle abnormalities are detected through ultrasonography.

(ii) Invasive method - in which probes or needles are inserted into placenta for collecting sample. Like in Amniocentesis and Chorionic villus sampling.

Amniocentesis- is a method in which amniotic fluid test (AFT) is done by collecting sample of amniotic fluid for analysis of your fetus's DNA . It is performed in 16 weeks to 18 weeks. These are safer but takes a lot of time for result, 2-3 weeks until result is available. It helps in diagnosis of genetic abnormalities if so present in fetus.

Chorionic villus sampling - it involves the withdrawal of small amount of developing placenta that is made up of chorionic villi, containing fetus cell like projections. This method is most commonly used to identify chromosomal problems such as Down's syndrome and genetic diseases like cystic fibrosis, Tay-sachs and sickle cell disease.

PRENATAL VITAMINS
  • Having a healthy diet in pregnancy is essential for your healthy fetus growth. It is ideal to take pernatal vitamins in your diet containing folic acid, iron, iodine and calcium.
  • Folic acid helps in prevention of neural tube defects which can affect your fetus's brain and spinal cord. It is recommended for a women to take 400 micrograms of folic acid daily. Green leafy vegetables, nuts, beans, citrus fruits etc have right amount of folic acid necessary for your body naturally.
  • Calcium is also important for pregnant women. It helps in prevention of loosing mother's bone density as baby uses calcium for its own bone growth. A pregnant woman should drink approximately 10 cups (2.3 litres) of milk per day.
  • Iodine Yoghurt, cheese, patatoes have iodine in them and they should be taken as it is crucial for a woman's healthy thyroid function during pregnancy. A deficiency in iodine causes stunted physical growth, deafness and severe mental disability, it can even lead to miscarriage.
  • Iron helps in blood formation in both mother and baby and acts as carrier of oxygen in fetus.Foods like spinach, beans, dry fruits should be taken regularly
  • In some cases, your doctor will prescribe you a certain type of prenatal vitamin supplements too.
PRENATAL YOGA

Its a myth that pregnant women should not exercise or perform yoga. Actually they are also beneficial like your diet, it helps to breathe deeply and relax your mind. Prenatal yoga also lowers your chances of having pregnancy complications, pain ,stress levels and peevishness. But do not google and follow any exercise regime displayed on those pages without consulting your doctor. Every exercise is not suitable for everyone.Do walk at evening it will make you feel fresh.Prenatal care is essential for you both physically and emotionally. You can boost your chances of having a problem free pregnancy and a healthy baby

Remember, Kareena Kapoor how beautifully she handled her pregnancy not taking any sabbatical or disguising herself from media. That was so cool an inspirational for womens. Even my bestie Amrita who is expecting her first child, i met her recently and was so happy to see the way she is carrying her pregnancy, eating right, no nervousness, no anxiety. She looks more beautiful in her maternity phase and happy too... So, above all those prenatal care just be happy and enjoy your motherhood phase as much as you can. Make your pregnancy a beautiful moment.

Introspection

"Not fault in your stars but fault in you"
Learning about yourself, ongoing thoughts and past mental state is important to gain your insight. These days we learn about purifying our soul but that is only possible when you observe, analyse and reform yourself constantly. Slowing down in your fast moving life, breathing deeply and learning from the mistakes you committed in past is not easy. Specially to introspect yourself and always have an eagerness to learn more and delete more aids in your personal growth to be a better person than you were before.

#How does introspection work?
You can learn about your your own mind exactly the same way you read of others, by nothing but analyzing your past behaviors. It is a process in terms of psychology to gain your sensory knowledge, consciousness, emotions, free will, belief, perception and personal identity.
#How does introspection help?
. Introspecting yourself helps in recognizing any negative and stressful situation or incidence that might have happen years before in your life but you still have not come out of it. Due to which you might have become insensitive and indifferent towards certain things. You will even not be able to picture yourself in future. You just need to analyse them and "let it go" because unknowingly your past is hampering your personality and you fear to be your own true self.

.It helps you in facing your fears, realizing them eventually helps you in admitting to it and handling them in the best way you can. In fact, you will have a clear vision of what you can and what you cannot.

.Introspection helps you to make decisions yourself and understanding what is best for you. You will not be dependent on others to make decisions and choices for your own self.

. You will start feeling more accomplished and proud of yourself because you will know what battles have you fought to come this way in your life. You will be much self satisfied and happy in your life. Continuously introspecting yourself will help you in self awareness, knowing your weakness and your strengths hereby, making you have a better understanding of your goals and what you truly want in your life.

Times before people had a habit of maintaining a personal dairy which has been lost today, that was the best way to introspect oneself .I think people should be encouraged for making a habit of writing diary before going to bed. Taking five minutes for yourself and noting down every thing that you could recall that happened today helps you in learning and analyzing things which made you different from yesterday. It will also help you in realizing the mistakes that you committed today so that you don't commit again. Hence, undergoing a constant change in yourself and overcoming your flaws to be a better person tomorrow.

Rain Reality!

Soothing breezing rain always bring smile on our faces, after those unbearable scorching sunny days it has always been a heavenly bliss to see dark skies and water pouring down. Like shown in movies whether it is a narrative scene after which the life of the hero changes or shooting an intense climax scene where finally the hero takes revenge, and even in building up romance between hero and heroine, rain has always played a vital role. Sounds like a Yash Raj film isn't it ? but in reality rain also means wet dirty clothes, virus, fungus and bacterial infections, in fact it brings its own amount of health challenges with it. While writing this article i showed this draft to my friend and he told me what are you writing about! rainy season is all about being drenched and playing in rain! who thinks about getting ill when the weather is so soothing! So, i told him that i am not writing about not enjoying in rain but how to prevent yourself from this infectious season so that you can safely enjoy it.

Increase in amount of stagnant water everywhere due to rainfall increases breeding in mosquitoes hence, spreading malaria, dengue fever and food poisoning in children. In fact sudden change in temperatures causes cough and cold too. Dampness during this season and lack of UV light of sun helps in growth of bacteria, fungi and viruses leading to air-borne diseases, water contamination and infected food.

# Monsoon Hygiene and Health
  • Drink boiled and filtered water.
  • Eat freshly cooked food, minutes after preparation. Avoid eating uncooked food like salads.
  • Always carry an umbrella or rain coat.
  • Avoid eating street food. Pakoda and samosa always tempt us specially when it is rainy season but avoiding eating it outside, prepare them fresh at home.
  • Clean stagnant water if any. Empty water from coolers and even your flower vases.
  • Make a habit of spraying mosquito repellent in evening and sleep under mosquito net and mosquito repellent devices.
  • If you got wet in rain, take bath with fresh water, clean and dry yourself completely.
  • Take special care of your hair because wet hair causes scalp infection leading to hair fall. Remember to cover your hair while going out.
  • Protect your skin by wearing dry and bit warm clothes. Fabrics like denims and handloom cotton are best for rainy season.
  • Use herbs that keep body warm like tulsi, ginger, turmeric, cardamom and prepare tea or add in your food. These also help in improving immunity during rainy season.
Rain always help in uplifting mood whether it is just watching it from your window or playing in it, it always relieves stress. But, it is also necessary to keep yourself healthy and safe in this notorious season like we do in summers and winters too.

Phone Detox

Detoxification implies to removal of toxins but we don't know that sometimes it is not only our body but even our habits that needs to be detoxed. One such is our addiction of phones. Cellphones were made to make our life, simple bridging the gap of communication. Today mobile phones have become the core communicating device and specially the invention of smartphones have eased our life in many ways. But at the same time we are getting too much dependent and addicted to it. Think of not checking your Whatsapp!, not updating any post in Facebook! or not even owning your phone for a day! sounds impossible i am sure you cannot do it for even an hour! even though i am writing about a phone detox topic i am doing the same, typing my article in my phone's app and sharing it through my social media account.

Perhaps, it is really difficult to let go of our phones completely because if it has disadvantages it has advantages too like learning tools, checking emails, sending messages, sharing life moments, being updated with everything that is happening in and around world, bill payment , navigation , getting reminders and lot more helps in daily activities making them simpler and less time consuming. We can't claim that completely disowning our phones will make our life simpler and happier. In this case we should just help ourselves in limiting our usage and not letting it interfere in our lives.
  • Create "No" phone time zones : Sometimes keeping phone at workplace or during studies is necessary and required. So, you should create your no phone time zones that is switching off your mobile phones for at least 2 hrs in a day. Most importantly don't indulge yourself into night chats and hamper your night's sleep which is important for your brain's proper functioning. Never lose sleep over your phone games, whatsapp and Facebook.
  • Avoid checking your phone during the first 30 minutes of your day as soon as you wake up in morning. This is a serious problem! the first 30 minutes of awakening should be dedicated to freshen up your body and doing positive and productive work to have a good day ahead. Read newspaper rather than reading text messages.
  • Have real conversation with people. Actually we speak less to people sitting next to us than chatting with people far away through whatsapp. Recently, i visited a party of which i have no memories because i was only taking pictures and sharing it with my friends on phone. I don't even remember whom i met? I didn't even had dinner properly because i was busy with my phone.I strongly think social media have made us more "anti-social".
  • I don't keep my cellphone away for a second! even at bedtime it is kept under my pillow! I didn't even realized it until i read it somewhere that actually it is a kind of disorder known as "Nomophobia" leading to over use of mobile phones. This may sound weird but actually it is a kind of psychological disorder which we don't even realize how we fall into. " The "over-connection syndrome" occurs when mobile phone use reduces the amount of face-to-face interactions thereby interfering significantly with an individual’s social and family interactions. The term "techno-stress" is another way to describe an individual who avoids face-to-face interactions by engaging in isolation including psychological mood disorders such as depression."
Now it's our turn to limit ourselves from being prisoner of something which is made by us. If one finds oneself in any of the above scenarios it's the time to let go of our addiction of phone which is making us unhealthy and unhappy. Stop being slave of your cellphone. I have started my " PHONE DETOX" and hope my article inspires even you to come out of it.
